NATIONAL STITCH-IN-PUBLIC DAY

Take your stitching out to a café, library, or other public space to promote your craft and the Guild.

Pick up a few of our old postcards at the meeting to start conversations and tell people that our new classes are on our website, Facebook and Instagram.

Don't forget to take pictures and send them to photos@edmontonneedlecraftguild.org so we can share them in the next newsletter and on social media

BACKGROUND:

Stitch-in-Public Day was created to celebrate the anniversary of the formation of EAC/ACB in September 1974. Members wanted a way to celebrate the anniversary, and what better way than to promote embroidery and encourage the public to become involved. And that is how “Stitch-in-Public Day” was born.

EAC/ACB’s national Stitch-in-Public Day is held on the last Saturday in September each year. All EAC/ACB chapters are encouraged to stitch in public on that day.
